Hi! I'm Jennifer.

Registered Psychotherapist, MA, CRPO

I created Well Therapy to bring a fresh approach to counselling.

Maybe you have been to counselling in the past, or maybe this is your first time considering it. Either way, you are here because you know that something needs to change, and you’re ready to make that happen. I believe you have the tools to solve your issues, and that together we can break through barriers to improve your overall well-being.

I use a few different types of modalities to help you do this. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and narrative therapy. I use a trauma-informed approach. I have a MA in Counselling Psychology, and a BA in Psychology. I am also a certified high school teacher in Ontario and a certified yoga instructor. I enjoy bringing mindfulness practices into our therapy sessions, if that’s something you are interested in. I always include a multicultural perspective and inclusive practices in all the work that I do.

I believe that everyone can benefit from therapy. Whether you consider your issue to be small, or really big, therapy can help everyone achieve a higher state of well-being. And when each of us achieves this individually, our whole community benefits.

Why Therapy?

I can help with

Relationship Issues

Relationships take work. Therapy can help you discover what changes you can make within yourself, that will in turn benefit your relationship.

Stress

Life can be busy. Research tells us that stress can have negative consequences on our overall health. Learn how to manage stress and find greater balance.

Depression

Depression can make you feel like you just aren’t you. Through psychoeducation and learning new ways to resolve negative thought patterns, you can find a way to get back to the person you’ve always been.

Life Transitions

Starting school, a new career, or a relationship. Maybe one of these chapters is coming to an end. Develop healthy coping mechanisms to adjust to change.

Conflict

Maybe it’s with a friend, a coworker, or a family member. Gain insight on how to resolve conflict in a healthy way.

Anxiety

Dealing with anxiety is challenging. It can impact many areas of your life, including work and relationships. Therapy can help you discover the sources of your anxiety and the tools to move past it.

“I see your fear, and it’s big. I also see your courage, and it’s bigger.

We can do hard things.”
